Welcome to Egerton University’s Technology and Innovation Support Center (TISC)
Egerton University, through its Directorate of Research under the leadership of Prof. George Owuor (PhD), is proud to announce the establishment of the Technology and Innovation Support Center (TISC). This strategic extension service strengthens the University’s commitment to advancing research, innovation, and entrepreneurship in line with global best practices and the Kenya National Innovation Agency (KeNIA) Guidelines.
The TISC hosts two major offices
Currently, these initiatives are coordinated by Dr. Joseph Segera Momanyi (PhD) from the faculty of Commerce, Department of Business Administration, ensuring smooth integration of research outputs with innovation and market-driven solutions.
This infrastructure development is designed to create strong synergy in moving our innovations from Research to Commercialization (R2C). It provides students, faculty, and research partners with valuable opportunities to transform ideas into impactful solutions, while positioning Egerton University as a hub of innovation and entrepreneurship in Kenya and the wider region.
Egerton University has long been recognized as a great inventor and innovator of Intellectual Properties (IP). With the establishment of TISC, we reaffirm our commitment to empowering our Nation and communities, strengthening industry linkages, and demonstrating our entrepreneurial capability at national, regional, and global levels.
